2 minutes and 30 seconds

Doesn't seem that long on paper, but under certain circumstances it can feel like an eternity. Like when Ryan Seacrest cuts to commercial break before he announces who's been kicked off American Idol. Or the time between when you see the cop's lights go off and when he asks 'do you know why I pulled you over?' Or waiting for the pregnancy stick to change color before realizing the wife is the one that's supposed to pee on it. Those all seem like forever ever, but nothing quite compares to running 'as fast as you can' up Torrey Pines for 150 seconds. It's rough. Then you jog down and gotta do it 3 more times.

I do, however, love getting workouts done and out of the way in the morning. It clears my mind and now I'm ready to work.

Bee sting update. The swelling appears to be subsiding.

Garmin 310xt update - 2nd run w/ it. Only complaint so far is that my profile/settings/workouts have been erased since my last use. not sure how this could have happened. perhaps it was syncing between my computer at work and Jg's mac at home. Also something knew I found out about this watch is that it keeps recording until you reset the workout or turn off the watch. While not included in your 'time' or 'moving time' it is included in 'elapsed time'...you can see that here where I reset the watch on the main road up torrey pines.

  1. Did you program this in your watch as a "Workout"? I'm trying to use that option know since you told me.

  2. yeah. you need to download garmin training center. you can't program it on the watch itself (unlike the 310) or garmin connect. there are other apps, but GTC is the easiest.
