Tacos, beer and a 5k

I have two 5ks scheduled in the next two weeks. Just so happens there's a weekly series of 5ks held at Liberty Station. More info at their website here -> nitemovessd.com. Here's some of the vitals that stood out from me directly from the site:

5:30pm: Race registration
6:30pm: 5K race starts
6:30-8:00 Kids run, Firestone beer garden at Joao's Tin Fish, tacos from Tabe BBQ truck, live local band, giveaways, swag, family fun!

What I found out from registering was that the beer is free and you get one free taco w/ race admission. Now, I'm no marketing expert, but if I had to put the details of the website together, it might look more like this:

5:30pm: Race registration
6:30pm: 5K race starts
6:30-8:00 Kids run, FREE Firestone beer garden at Joao's Tin Fish, one FREE taco from Tabe BBQ truck, live local band, giveaways, swag, family fun!

I'm just saying...ppl like free stuff. Here's a picture of the truck that produced the deliciously free treat.

My race - went okay. I'm feeling a bit under the weather so I wasn't able to get to sub 22, where I was hoping, but I'm happy w/ the level of effort I put out. I was told to 'make it hurt' and hurt it did for just over 23 minutes. The course is a little long and I felt some cramping in my left hamstring, but again, I'm happy. Next week will hopefully be better health wise, let's hope work cooperates.
