Anyway, this week I've found that work is hard, life is hard and training is really the only thing I know how to do.
With a heavy week of all the above, I actually looked forward to my Saturday workouts: a 1:40 run followed by a 40 min run (book ending 7 hours of work). I treated the 1st run as a dress rehearsal. from the time I woke up, to the socks, this training runs would be essentially done at race pace (zone 2). from la jolla to mission beach was the plan and i got there quite comfortably. the way back was a bit of a disappointment as i couldn't keep my HR down. while the overall run was evenly paced, it took a tad more effort to keep up the last five miles than i would have liked/expected. I could just be tired or maybe I don't really know how to train either...
